August 18, 2016

Portland VegFest 2016 is almost here!

Did you know that we need more than 400 volunteers to make Portland VegFest happen? We are still looking for dedicated volunteers to help make the Portland VegFest awesome, and that's where you come in. We need help with various roles and shifts during the entire weekend of October 21-23 at the Oregon Convention Center. Volunteering at Vegfest is a great way to help others while learning more yourself.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone and everyone! We have lots of different roles, to suit all kinds of people. We need people for most roles throughout Saturday October 22nd and Sunday October 23rd, and help with set-up all day on Friday October 21st. Please find a full list of the available volunteer shifts/tasks at our volunteer signup site.

Click here to volunteer for 2016 VegFest, and invite your friends to sign up to volunteer with you!

Volunteers under 18 will need to bring a signed parental consent form.

Help spread the word!

Want to have fun, talk to people, and wear a veggie costume? We need volunteers to hand out VegFest postcards and posters prior to VegFest to help get the word out. You will be handing out postcards and posters in places such as Pioneer Square, farmers markets, local businesses, Alberta Street, Hawthorne District, Mississippi Street, and Belmont. If you're interested in volunteering or learning more contact our Volunteer Coordinator!

Please email Tara, our volunteer coordinator, with any questions. We look forward to seeing you in October!
